halloween past and present

First Halloween
Our first Halloween in the NICU, this was the first time we dressed the boys, and saw them with clothes on, it was very exciting for us.The clothes were preemie but still too big. This is Benjamin, our little worm i used to call him.

Christopher with his Halloween attire. He was finally starting to look better, without so many monitors.

With mummy

Auntie Nicole helping to dress the boys for the first time.

Grandma also helping to dress the boys

Anderson wasn't well during the night so we were not allowed to dress him, so we draped the clothing over him.

Second Halloween season

Our first pumpkin patch. Sheila, Alan (nan and grandad) helped me to take the boys to the pumpkin festival. One of our first trips out, I really enjoyed getting out and about. The place was great fun, although when we got home my memories of Sheila and I sat on the edge of the bath washing our feet sticks with me, Our sandals, legs and feet were black from all the dust and dirt. We had to drag the prams though the sand and dirt, but it was worth it.

Rob and I trick or treating with the boys in Disney, they were asleep within an hour of us getting in the park, but we got great pictures and memories and we enjoyed ourselves.

Nan and Grandad at the pumpkin festival.

Darth Vader (AKA ANDERSON)

Yoda (AKA BENJAMIN)

Nan as Princess Leah

Daddy as Bobafet (pardon the spelling, I'm not a star wars boff)

Grandad lighting the way with his light saber

This year:

Our three smurfs, we made Anderson Papa Smurf as he is the oldest but he would not wear his beard, imagine that lol.

The boys had their two year check up at the pediatricians office, the Doctor wanted to see them in their Halloween outfits and have a Halloween party with her and the nurses.

Outside our home, trying to put up the decorations was not easy this year as the boys were re arranging continuously.

Benjamin showing everyone the moon

The first house, they had no problems holding out their buckets for candy. They stood waiting for more each time

Trick or Treating at Mirna's house. They knew exactly where to go.

Denali and Briana leading the way

Enjoying the decorations, sights and sounds. One house had music and dry ice with flashing lights, Benjamin was scarred and opted to stay away from that house

Sat on the driveway handing out candy to everyone, the boys loved watching other kids coming and trick or treating

Christopher was eating every bit of candy that he could find, even the wrapper if it wasn't unwrapped quick enough. Check out the front of his costume, full of dribble from is lollipop

The boys lasted until 9pm then crashed. I took them inside for a quick wash down, PJ's and Milk, Christopher threw up twice all the sweet stuff that he had consumed, then the slept until 8am. Benjamin was up at 0630am. They all had diarrhea throughout the next day and spent the whole day taking off their nappies, and leaving trails around the house. Even at nap time they were giggling, when i went into the room, they had taken off their nappies and thrown them out of their cots, poop everywhere, i didn't know where to start, they laughed and laughed and i wanted to cry and cry!!!!! No sweets for along time for these boys!!!
